MacroCoach Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 22, 2026
MacroCoach is a Windows app that suggests picks and bans during League of Legends champion select. This policy says what data the app and our servers handle, why, for how long, who else touches it, and how to see, change or delete yours.
Who is responsible
The controller of your data is Guilherme S., an individual in Brazil, who makes MacroCoach. For anything about your data, write to contact@macrocoach.cc. That address is also our channel for the data subject (Brazil's LGPD, art. 41).
What we handle, and why
Your account
| Data | Why | Legal basis (LGPD) |
|---|---|---|
| Your email address, the language you use, when the account was created and confirmed | To sign you in, send your codes and tell accounts apart | Performance of the service you asked for (art. 7, V) |
| An ID for each PC you use (a one-way hash of an identifier Windows gives your PC, not your name or hardware details), the app's version, when the PC last connected | To limit an account to two PCs and keep you signed in | Performance of the service (art. 7, V) |
| Sign-in codes and session keys, stored only as one-way hashes | To check them without keeping them | Performance of the service (art. 7, V) |
| Bans of an account or a PC, with a reason | To stop abuse | Legitimate interest (art. 7, IX) |
Each recommendation
When champion select changes, the app sends our server the draft: champion IDs, lanes, which picks are locked, the bans, and your record with the champions in your pool (games and wins). Never your name, your Riot ID or the session as the game client shows it. We use it to answer and do not store it; an identical draft's answer is kept for up to 15 minutes to answer again faster. We count how many drafts we answered for your account each day (numbers only, no content), to know how the service is used and plan its capacity (legitimate interest, art. 7, IX).
Usage statistics
Unless you turn them off, the app sends usage statistics: that it was opened, its version and language, that a champion select started, and one summary per champion select (how long the window was in front, under the mouse or on screen after the last recommendation; whether you scrolled or chose a lane; and which champion you picked and banned, and where it stood in our lists). When the app hits an error, it sends the error's type and where in our code it happened, never its message. Each event carries a random ID of this installation and your account's ID, never your email, your name or your Riot ID, and nothing about other windows or programs. We never capture your screen.
We use them to learn whether the recommendations help and to fix problems (legitimate interest, art. 7, IX). You can object at any time: Settings → Send usage statistics, off. From then on the app sends nothing but what each recommendation needs.
Problem reports
If you send a report from Help → Report a problem, we keep what you wrote, the app's version and language, the PC it came from, and, only if you tick it, the last draft the app sent. We use it to fix the problem (legitimate interest, art. 7, IX).
Limits on new accounts
To stop scripts from creating accounts in bulk, for 24 hours we keep the PC's ID and a keyed hash of the network address a new account came from, which cannot be turned back into the address (legitimate interest, art. 7, IX).
What stays on your PC
The app reads the League client on your PC, with read-only requests: your Riot ID, region, rank, recent games and the champion select. It keeps your games, your champion pool, the window's settings and the last draft in its folder on your PC (%LOCALAPPDATA%\macrocoach). None of that is sent to us, except the pool's records with each recommendation, as above.
To fill in your pool, the app may ask a public League of Legends statistics service, from your PC, for your season's most played champions, at most once a day. That service receives your Riot ID, which is already public in the game, and nothing else from us.
This website
macrocoach.cc sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from other sites. The network that delivers it handles your network address to send you the pages and to protect the site, as it does for the app's requests.
Who else handles it
To run MacroCoach we use infrastructure services: hosting for the server and the database, a network that delivers and protects requests, email delivery, and storage for the usage statistics. They handle data only to provide those services to us, under contract, and may not use it for anything else.
Account data and the recommendations' computing stay in Brazil. Some of these services also process data in the United States and the European Union, under their own contractual safeguards (LGPD, art. 33). Usage statistics arrive without your network address, which is discarded on arrival.
We do not sell your data, show ads, or share it with anyone else, unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
| Data | Kept |
|---|---|
| Account, PCs, codes and draft counts | While the account exists |
| Problem reports | One year, then deleted |
| Usage statistics | One year |
| Network address hashes for the limits on new accounts | 24 hours |
| A banned PC's ID | After its account is deleted too, so a ban cannot be undone with a new address |
Your rights
Under the LGPD (art. 18) you can ask us to confirm whether we handle your data, give you a copy, correct it, delete it, tell you who we share it with, and you can object to its use based on legitimate interest. Write to contact@macrocoach.cc from your account's address; we answer within 15 days.
To delete your account, write from its address asking for it. We delete the account and everything under it (PCs, codes, reports, draft counts) within 15 days. The data on your PC is yours: uninstalling the app and deleting %LOCALAPPDATA%\macrocoach removes it.
You may also complain to Brazil's data protection authority, the ANPD (<https://www.gov.br/anpd>).
Children
MacroCoach is not meant for children under 13. If you are under 18, use it with your parent's or guardian's permission.
Security
Our servers are reached only over encrypted connections, the database is closed to everyone but our own server, and codes and session keys are stored only as hashes. No system is perfectly safe; if a breach puts you at risk, we will tell you and the ANPD.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so in the app or by email before it takes effect. The date at the top is the last change.
